Datacenter Connections
How fast are the Datacenter connections?
ServerGrade has servers in both the Hurricane Electric
datacenter (he.net) in Fremont (California) and InterNap (internap.com)
in Ceder Falls (Iowa).
In addition to these two main bases are our newest
servers in The Planet datacenter in Texas.
In the words of our datacenter:
Hurricane Electric
"Founded in 1994, when the Internet and the World
Wide Web was just starting to take off, Hurricane Electric became one
of the first Business Technical Service Providers (TSP). Today,
Hurricane Electric is the premier Business TSP, specializing in
technical web hosting, including dedicated servers and colocation.
Hurricane Electric also provides direct Internet connections ranging
from fractional to full T1's and T3's, all the way up to WDM and 10
GigE."
InterNap
"Internap's proprietary Overlay Network that is
armed with intelligent routing technology. That simply means instead of
routing your Web site traffic through MAE East or MAE West or peering
points, we directly connect your Web site to up to nine (9) major
backbones. These major backbones carry approximately 95% of all US
Internet traffic."
"Data from point A to point B is sent directly to
its destination via the fastest and least congested path possible. This
dramatically boosts your Web site's performance. Multiple routing
options also virtually guarantee connectivity to the Internet,
regardless of problems individual backbone providers may be
experiencing. We also assure you of superior performance during peak
traffic times by getting your data to its destination and back in the
fastest, most efficient way."
