Computer Needed?Should I have a computer before I have my website?
Strangely enough the answer is no. While it is a helpful tool if you do have one, it is not required to simply place a site online. Naturally, having a computer is essential if you plan to develop the site yourself, but going to external web developers removes this requirement. You already know the finer aspects of your business services and products, however your clients who do have computers probably do not. Several of our web development clients have been referred to our services via family and friends who have been impressed with us in the past. They are not technically inclined, but recognise that computers and the Internet are "the way of the future" and have chosen to present their business positively using these tools. By allowing ServerGrade to place their information online and host the site ourselves, the businesses do not need a computer at all. Visitors are provided with the business address and phone number and can make contact directly. Once the site owners have seen the results of their new sites financially improving their business they can then optionally choose to invest in a computer. See further general website hosting FAQs or our FAQ categories for more information. Please contact us if you have a question that is not answered on our site.
