MySQL is a type of database developed by open source programmers. It allows many advanced database features, and an extremely reliable platform for storing records.

The high speed and control when using MySQL has led us to use it for our own database requirements, and offer it as standard on all web hosting plans.

Using MySQL for your database also keeps the space required to store records to a minimum. Depending on the content being stored, up to 100,000 records can be kept in a MySQL database using our 50MB plans.

Naturally, clients can (and should) also backup their database online or download it for their local records on their computers.
